The energy-saving service industry is relatively prosperous, with a steady increase in the number of enterprises and employees
At present, the strength of Chinese energy-saving service enterprises continues to strengthen, and the industrial structure is becoming increasingly reasonable. The energy-saving service industry is gradually shifting from relying on rapid growth in the number of enterprises to relying on high-quality development of enterprises, mainly manifested in three aspects: first, the average scale of enterprises is expanding. The average registered capital of energy-saving service companies is 58.61 million yuan, and the average total assets are 150 million yuan. Secondly, a group of large and medium-sized energy-saving service companies have made progress in technological innovation, model innovation, corporate governance, project management, and gradually established relatively complete corporate governance structures, internal management systems, financial management systems, and risk prevention and control systems; The proportion of technical personnel has been increasing year by year, project implementation and management capabilities have steadily improved, and the strength of the enterprise has been continuously enhanced. Thirdly, the industrial structure is gradually optimizing, shifting from small and scattered enterprises in the past to large-scale, specialized, and specialized ones. Mergers and reorganizations between industries have become a trend.
According to the Energy Conservation Service Industry Committee (EMCA) of the China Energy Conservation Association, the number of energy-saving service enterprises in China showed an upward trend from 2012 to 2018. In 2018, the number of energy-saving service enterprises in China was 6439, an increase of 5% compared to 2017. There are over 120 listed companies engaged in energy-saving services.
As of the end of 2018, a total of 4803 energy-saving service companies had been registered with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and local governments, accounting for 74.59% of the total number of energy-saving service enterprises. They were mainly concentrated in the three industrialized regions of Beijing Tianjin Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta, and most of the enterprises were small and medium-sized enterprises that provided energy-saving services in specific links; Among them, there are 17 regions with over 100 registered enterprises, with Beijing having the highest number of 941, followed by Guangdong and Shandong with 499 and 428 respectively.
And in terms of the number of employees and output scale, it has also performed well. According to the "Classification of Strategic Emerging Industries (2018)" released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the energy conservation and environmental protection industry is one of the strategic emerging industries, and its corresponding service industry is also a strategic emerging industry in China. The energy-saving service industry, as a sunrise industry, attracts numerous investors and practitioners.
According to statistics released by the Energy Conservation Service Industry Committee (EMCA) of the China Energy Conservation Association, the number of employees in China's energy conservation service industry showed an upward trend from 2012 to 2018. In 2018, the number of energy-saving service personnel in China reached 729000, an increase of 6% compared to 2017. The energy-saving service industry, as a sunrise industry, attracts numerous investors and practitioners.
“ Twelfth Five Year Plan; During this period, the energy-saving service industry maintained continuous growth for five consecutive years. According to the Energy Conservation Service Industry Committee (EMCA) of the China Energy Conservation Association, the domestic energy-saving service industry has experienced rapid development since 2012, especially from 2012 to 2014, with an annual growth rate of over 15% in total output value. In 2016, the total output value of China's energy-saving service industry was 356.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14%. In 2017, despite the macroeconomic downturn and widespread obstacles to the development of downstream high energy consuming industries, the domestic energy-saving service industry still achieved rapid development, with a year-on-year growth of 16%, reaching 414.8 billion yuan, an increase of about 232% from 125 billion yuan in 2011; In 2018, the energy-saving service industry continued to maintain stable development, with a total output value of 477.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15%. The energy-saving service industry remains a positive factor in driving national economic growth and plays a pillar role in strategic emerging industries.
From 2011 to 2018, China's energy-saving service industry also achieved great success in energy conservation and emission reduction. According to EMCA data, the energy-saving and emission reduction of China's energy-saving service industry showed a stable upward trend from 2011 to 2018. In 2018, the energy-saving capacity was 39.3 million tons of standard coal, and the annual emission reduction of carbon dioxide was 106.51 million tons.
Continuous innovation is the key to maintaining industry vitality and the foundation of industrial development. Enterprises with technological innovation capabilities can not only maintain their core competitiveness and lead the industry, but also play a good leading role in promoting the upgrading and development of the industry. After years of development, a number of enterprises have emerged in the industry that have obtained independent research and development invention patents. According to incomplete statistics, as of 2017, energy-saving service companies across the country have obtained more than 180000 patents. In 2017 alone, they obtained about 4300 patents, including about 1500 invention patents and more than 1500 projects that have won national and local innovation achievement awards.
